To maintain what we believe is a standard-setting level of performance, Chronicle Transcripts continuously monitors the rapid changes affecting the industry and how these changes will affect information management. Chronicle Transcripts provides sophisticated custom interface for host system uploads, HL7 protocols, data repositories, document distribution systems or other high technology solutions. To help clients rise to the challenges of contemporary information management, we have developed a powerful database transcription system and the industry's first web-enabled data management system.
Our product development work is continual; our document distribution system was introduced in 1998. This system allows users to access transcribed documents from remote locations and provides on-line downloads and electronic signatures. Chronicle Transcripts has experience with uploading to numerous computer systems. Our transcription system is using SSL, 128-bit encryption, and HIPAA compliant safeguards and capable of producing text files in ANSI standard language using HL7 protocols.
Chronicle Transcripts implementation projects take place in a lifecycle of Discover, Understand and Act. In Discover we identify requirements and potential problems; in Understand we define the solution; and in Act we implement the solution.
Our installations are commonly divided into four distinct stages: Discover, Design, Develop, and Deploy. The following picture shows how these concepts align:
In Discover, information is used to define the requirements and scope of the installation. In Design, is to specify the functionality of each component and the required workflow. In addition, we analyze key metrics, such as volume indicators, seasonal fluctuations, suspension policies, facility bi-laws as they pertain to dictation and document availability, physician staffing referral base, dual signature requirements, and environmental conditions to better predict optimal staffing. The Develop Stage is where our service is integrated and tested. During this phase project coordination and communication is heightened to ensure essential information is shared, understood, and properly utilized. Finally, in Deploy, Chronicle Transcripts provides an "As Implemented" view of the service. In this stage system interfaces are enabled, security profiles are established, defined training requirements are completed, and data conversion is performed.
